Chris Day, Director of Engagement at CQC
Chris has a background in both private and public sector business development, communications, and leadership, operating at a senior level with more than 25 years of experience. As Director of Engagement for the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Chris drives changes in the way the regulator operates and how its voice acts as a catalyst for debate and improvement in the wider health and care system.
Mike Farrar, Former CEO of NHS Confederation
Mike currently works as a management consultant with 15 years of CEO experience working within the NHS. His roles within the NHS have included Chief Executive of West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Strategic Health Authorities, Chief Executive of Tees Valley Health Authority and Head of Primary Care at the Department of Health (United Kingdom). During his time at the Department of Health, Mike was responsible for establishing Primary Care Groups, Primary Care Trusts, and PMS. In addition, he chaired the NHS Confederation GP Contract negotiating team that successfully negotiated the new General Medical Service contract and is the National Programme Director of NHS Live.
Blessing Iroha-Chukwu, Special Advisor to Tendable
Blessing spent 8 years working with frontline teams within two local authorities before venturing into the world of health and care regulation at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) where she spent 8 years in substantive roles regulating a variety of services. She remains a part of the CQC’s advisory and complementary workforce. Over the years she has used her experience to bring about better outcomes for people through her professional roles and through coaching. Blessing believes if you deliver good care then you have the potential to provide outstanding care.
