Speakers

Professor Jane Cummings CBE RN
Jane is the former Chief Nursing Officer for England, and she was responsible for the invention of the 6 Cs of nursing: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment. Jane has been awarded doctorates by Edge Hill University, Bucks New University and Bradford University; she is a visiting professor at Kingston University. Jane is also a trustee for CHSA, Chair of the RCN Foundation, Clinical Ambassador for the Over the Wall Children’s Charity, and vice-chair of NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board. Tendable are delighted to have Jane as a specialist advisor, bringing her significant expertise and experience to our product, community, and engagement with our customers.
Carrie Marr
Carrie has had a long and varied career in the public and private sector. A nurse by background, after qualifying, she spent time in oncology and palliative care before moving to adult education. Following a post as Education Officer at St. Columbas Hospice in Edinburgh she was appointed as an Officer to the Royal College of Nursing. A secondment to the Scottish Executive Health Department to focus on partnership working was followed by appointments as a Management Consultant, and latterly Fellow for the Office for Public Management. From there, she moved back to NHS Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland and then to NHS Tayside, where she established the Tayside Centre for Organisational Effectiveness (TCOE) which acted as an Improvement Hub, across public service and local communities. She has most recently worked in Australia as the Executive Director for Organisational Effectiveness in Western Sydney Local Health District and latterly as the Chief Executive of the NSW Clinical Excellence Commission, the lead agency for safety and quality across New South Wales.
